Important Eid Update

Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh dear brothers and sisters,

We pray that you are continuing to benefit from these blessed last days of Ramadan and that Allah SWT accepts all of your deeds.

Following our previous communication, we would like to share an important update regarding Eid al-Fitr.

Based on current astronomical projections, there is now a stronger likelihood that Eid will fall on Friday, March 20, inshaAllah, subject to the official sighting of the crescent moon in accordance with our established policy. We will update the community as soon as the date is confirmed with an announcement.

If Eid is on Friday (March 20), the Eid prayer and full-day celebration will take place at the Blaisdell Center Arena (777 Ward Avenue) at 8:45 AM with Takbeerat and continuing until approximately 6:00 PM. Eid prayer will be at 9:30 AM InshaAllah.

The day will include Eid prayer and khutbah, breakfast, lunch, and refreshments throughout the day, as well as activities for adults and children, including games and inflatables, in a joyful community gathering.

Because Eid falls on a Friday, we will pause at 1:00 PM for Jumu‘ah prayer. After Jumu‘ah, lunch will be served and activities will resume.

Please note that Blaisdell is a secured venue with exclusive vendors. Food and refreshments will be fully provided, so we kindly ask that you do not bring outside or home-cooked food, sweets, or drinks, as they will not be permitted inside. We sincerely appreciate your understanding and cooperation, as these venue policies are strictly enforced and any violations could result in penalties or impact our ability to host future events at this location.

For tourists or those who may not be aware that Jumu'ah prayer will be held at the Blaisdell, the Masjid will remain open and Jumu'ah prayer will be held there as well.

If Eid is on Thursday (March 19), the Eid prayer will be held at the Masjid at 8:45 AM, followed by light refreshments.

In this case, the full-day community celebration at the Blaisdell Center Arena will still take place on Friday, including activities, inflatables, and a day of fun for our children and families starting at 10:30AM.

We strongly encourage everyone to attend and celebrate together as a community.

If you require a letter for your employer or school to request time off, please reach out to us and we will be happy to provide one.

We also remind everyone to fulfill Zakat al-Fitr before the Eid prayer so that it may reach those in need in time.

Allah SWT says:
“…so that you complete the prescribed period, glorify Allah for guiding you, and so that you may be grateful.”
(Surah Al-Baqarah 2:185)

Eid is a day of gratitude, unity, and joy — a time to come together as one community in remembrance of Allah and celebration of His blessings.

May Allah allow us to reach Eid, accept from us our fasting and prayers, and grant us a day filled with barakah, joy, and togetherness.
